Polestar x Acid Works powers design at COP 28

As an enthusiastic owner, recently Gareth had the idea of bringing designers together with one of the most innovative car companies in the world, Polestar. To his delight, they agreed to host the event during COP 28 (The United Nation’s climate change conference) on the 1st of December. He joined their CEO Thomas Ingenlath, Regional Director Daniel Davey and the stunning new Polestar 3 to discuss design and purpose. Gareth was asked the following question…
‘What does it take to execute great design today, in particular in the Middle East market?’
Here’s how he responded:
1. Courage ❤️ (The self-awareness and ambition to change).
2. Capability 🎨 (The skill to do great work, internally or via a partner).
3. Co-ordination 🎯 (Total alignment, detailed rollout and adoption).
A massive thank you to all of the Polestar team for letting an idea take flight (Hicham, Ana and Daniel) and to all those who attended. It was a wonderful evening and a career highlight to sit alongside Thomas, who has rapidly become a design hero for ourselves and countless designers around the world. 🙏

Panel Discussion
In addition, enjoy the short clip from the panel discussion. Where Gareth compares design creation, production and delivery in 2023 to the film industry.
We’re in the movie making business, essentially. From storytelling and script writing to special effects (motion and 3D graphics) UI / UX design, development and build of websites, events. It’s a connect landscape of touchpoint that need to be flawlessly executes and co-ordinated. Something which Polestar has done incredibly well.
