Overview
Open Source 3D Engine engages Acid.Works to transform their product and brand.
O3DE is a new, evolving open source 3D engine from The Linux Foundation. Initially based on Amazon Lumberyard and contributed by Amazon Games, it has scaled its functionality yet the its awareness was lagging. We were approached to level up it’s brand and website, ensuring it could be uniquely positioned within the competitive 3D engine market and scale its install base.

INTRODUCTION

Outcome
- Brand Transformation
- 3 x increase in users
- Industry leading website
Communicating the full story and technical details of a complex, growing, open source 3D engine is no small task, and at the start of the journey, we had a long road ahead. Working closing with the marketing lead, we onboarded our copywriter and got to work with the brand refresh, site architecture and key page designs. Together, we had given O3DE a huge leap and positioned them as the leading open source engine in the industry, with a jump in users to back that up.
