Emilia flys to Dubai for an end of the year adventure

2022 has been an action packed year, with Emilia joining us as our first full time team member, then helping us set up our UK Design Lab she’s certainly been a busy bee. And since Gareth wasn’t able to get back to the new office before Christmas… he invited her to jump on an Emirates plane and experience some alternate December weather together in Dubai… She jumped at the chance.

After some rest on her first morning, Gareth & Emilia got straight to work whilst exploring Palm Jumeriah and other great working locations around the city. From the sunny West Beach to the  excellent Al Serkal Avenue, home to many boutique stores and creative companies in Dubai’s industrial zone, Al Quos.

‘For my placement year at uni I spent a year around Islington, London and fell in love with the energy and size of the city. 5 years on New York cemented my urge to fly the nest and see the world more permanently. Since then I’ve spent time around the Middle East, Japan, South Korea,  Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and work stints in Canada and the US. I know the inspiration cities provide as a designer… so bringing Emilia to Dubai and showing here a mega city was the perfect end to an amazing year.
