Ibiza’s most iconic clubbing logos that defined a generation

As the Ibiza 2024 season closes its doors, we caught up with good friend, Ibiza mover and shaker and fellow mackem, Neil Evans. He’s Music Director of Ibiza’s largest club… Amnesia and has overseen a return to form for the legendary venue that’s famous for starting it all back in 1986’s Summer of Love.
Being old clubbing wingmen, we took the chance to reminisce on our favourite clubbing logos, moments and discuss the industry in 2023.

Here’s an excellent in depth look and walk around of the venue from Dwayne Muffin’s excellent YouTube channel.

Amnesia is one of few remaining names, brands and experiences around today, it’s steeped into the history of the island. How’s this summer been and how to you keep it at the forefront of club culture?

If you compare the experience first timers have in Ibiza today vs what we had when we first started going, how do you think that’s changed and as a business, how do you adapt and stay ahead?

With having some investment in the billboard space around the island (which famously pretty much exclusively promote clubs, parties and DJs). How’s that going and how do you see physical advertisements role in Ibiza specifically in 2023?

And finally, looking back to late 90s when we both started going, whats your top 5 logos from the island of all time?
Space
Space in the late 90s circa 1997 – 2002 was the generally regarded as the pinnacle of clubbing on the island during that period, for us at least. As Global Underground mega fans, Space was indeed the place where the trance inducing magic of progressive house (Sasha’s Global Underground CD being the shining example) was most commonly heard. That, along with a generally epic line up brought together by the many ‘Space on Sundays’ 22 hour sessions.
